Uruchomiłem usługę " Logowanie zdarzeń systemowych do pliku " i w związku z tym mam dodatkowe pytania
1. jak odwrócić opcje - aby już nie logowało do pliku na pendrive
2. co to jest za plik logi.txt.0,
- dlaczego zapisuje średnio ostatnie 1,5 godziny ew zajmuje tylko 16 kb,
- dlaczego nie jest na bieżąco odświeżany tylko z opóźnieniem z pliku logi.txt

2. syslog dzieli na pewne fragmenty pliki jak zostaną zapełnione. Nie jest zapisywane z racji wydajności, urządzenia blokowe są wolniejsze niż zdarzenia.

1. jeszcze wszystkich wpisów-poleceń nie rozumiem, więc tak naprawdę gdzie się zmiany zapisały, tzn nie znam ścieżki dostępu pliku sytemowego ze zmianami aby go wyedytować
2. czy da się zwiększyć pojemność pliku logi.txt.0 aby co najmniej z jednego dnia logi się zapisały, a może i więcej

Tzn o co pytasz w końcu?

Aby logował do pliku trzeba ustawić log_file i log_type=file
Aby logował do pamięci (domyślnie) trzeba ustawić log_type=circular lub ma tej opcji nie być
Aby logował do zdalnego serwer syslog trzeba ustawić log_ip i log_port

Przy zapisie do pliku lub pamięci wielkość loga steruje log_size

moim zdaniem problem leży w tym iż syslog nie wyrzuca logów na zdalny serwer jako proces syslogd

tcpdump już pokazuje że ruter wysyła pakiety do serwera rsyslog-a

ale nie zapisuje do pliku na serwerze do /var/log/syslog
teraz dodam do system opcje log_type zobaczymy co to zmieni bo może to musi wymusić zapis na serwerze wink
no niestety nie zmieniło nadal nie pisze
podejrzewam kompatybilność pakietów
w openwrt nie ma pakietu rsyslog ale może spróbuje na syslog-ng ale muszę do tego przygotować inny router bo produkcyjnego nie ruszam wink
będę wdzięczny za sugestie

-S oznacza Smaller logging output może to jest format nie kompatybilny gdzie można usunąc tą opcje i czy jest sens
cały czas nie mogę przeżyć że logread pisze idelanie do /var/log/syslog na zdalnym serwerze logów
jak dorzucę do rc.local wpis logread -f | nc 192.168.1.1 514 to czy system ruszy bez problemów ?? bo nie będę jechał 20 kkm w niedziel jak coś wink

Nie mieszaj tak. Jak masz log_ip zdefiniowane to wysyła na zdalny serwer a czy on to zapisze czy nie to jego sprawa.
I wysyłanie działa poprawnie bo moje systemy też tak działają.

Czarek tylko 1 pytanie zapisuje ci do rsyslog czu syslog-ng ??czy należy podać jakiś format na serwerze żeby umiał czytać te logi ?? bo na 100 % jestem pewien iż inne systemy działają bez problemu ponieważ jest to samo oprogramowanie rsyslog
nie daje mi spokoju czemu logread pisz czytenie dla rsyslog-a
