Czy ten modem zadziała z OpenWRT/Gargoyle? Jesli dobrze rozumiem to on działa tak jak modemy USB Huawei HiLink czyli jest widoczny jako adapter sieciowy/router z własnym DHCP i interfejsem webowym do zmiany ustawień?

Jak najbardziej. Do tego celu wyciągnąłem mojego wykastrowanego LBR20 ( zamiast zintegrowanego modemu ma wyprowadzony port USB3.0) .
Trzeba mieć zainstalowany pakiet kmod-usb-net-cdc-ether (więc ten sam co dla Hi-Linków) , no i wtedy system wykrywa go tak:

Strona konfiguracyjna tego modemu 192.168.225.1 jak najbardziej też działa. Internet działa. Prędkość SuperSpeed ( więc USB3.0 i 5000Mbps)
Może bardziej należy użyć "hostless" i pakietu kmod-usb-net-rndis .... Zaraz zobaczę ,czy na nim będzie ok.
Czekaj, ale masz tam trzy konfiguracje usb. Przełącz na inne i zobacz czym on będzie.
Możesz przypomnieć jak się to robi .... ( kiedyś to robiłem , ale muszę szukać po forum tego...)
W każdym razie doinstalowanie kmod-usb-net-rndis nic nie zmieniło ( i jest ono i tak zależne od kmod-usb-net-cdc-ether)
find /sys -name bConfigurationValueJeden ze znalezionych to będzie to od modemu. Wtedy w ten plik wpisujesz
echo 2 > bConfigurationValue
itd. Jak nie będzie chciało działać to najpierw 0 a później dopiero liczbę. Po wpisaniu poczekaj kilka sekund aż modem to przetrawi. Teraz masz pierwszą, sprawdź jakie sterowniki będą na 2 i 3.
Ok , do drugiego configa sterwonik już wgrał się RNDIS:

Tak, czyli albo z własnym gui albo mbim przez który możesz sterować modemem. Czyli mógłbyś modemmanagera na niego nasłać i zobaczysz czy przedstawia sie bandami. Choć to taki biały kruk że nie wiem czy mm go rozpozna czy będzie traktował jako generyczne urządzenie.
Samo mmcli -L go znajduje.... Tylko na razie jeszcze nie udało mi się ,żeby w tym trybie był internet...

Mam pytanie czy można to jakoś zautomatyzować przy starcie w tej lub innej formie? tak żeby ttyUSB1 było rozpoznane przez Openwrt od razu po uruchomieniu (wpięciu) urządzenia (udev...?).
