Temat: Problem z instalacją na terminalu Wyse S30

Zwracam się do szanownych kolegów z prośbą o pomoc przy instalacji OpenWRT na terminalu thin client Wyse S30.
Jest to w zasadzie zwykły pecet z architekturą i586, lecz jego projektanci zawarli w BIOSie funkcję, która wyłącza kontroler ATA po załadowaniu systemu, co jest przyczyną mojego problemu.
Podejmowałem próby instalacji przeróżnych wersji i jedynie Kamikaze 8.09.2 działa na nim bezproblemowo. Chciałbym jednak zainstalować BB ze względu na większą ilość oprogramowania w repozytorium oraz obsługę większej ilości sprzętu. Niestety daje się we znaki wrodzona ułomność tego sprzętu i np. obraz z ext4 wysypuje się po ukazaniu się na monitorze napisu GRUB, a wersja squashfs zatrzymuje się tak albo tak i to tutaj upatruję swojej szansy. Obraz trunk zachowuje się identycznie.
Dosyć dużo googlowałem i znalazłem takie rozwiązanie polegające na zmodyfikowaniu sterownika i takie zaklęcie

modprobe -r ata_generic
modprobe -r pata_amd
modprobe ata_generic all_generic_ide=1

polegające na jego przeładowaniu.
I teraz pytania:
Jak zawrzeć w obrazie swój sterownik i wyłączyć pozostałe? Pewnie chodzi o "Kernel modules" przy konfiguracji kompilacji, ale nie wiem które pliki edytować.
Jak przeładować sterownik przy starcie? Pewnie to również będzie się sprowadzało do skompilowania własnego obrazu, ale znów - jaki plik edytować?

1. Kompilacja własnego systemu. Jak skompilujesz zrobisz make kerenel_menuconfig, tak zaznaczasz swój, zapisujesz i kompilujesz jeszcze raz
2. Jak kompilujesz to możesz zmienić co chcesz. Ale - jak w kompilujesz sterownik w jądro to nie możesz to przeładować bo jest na stałe w kernelu.

Po wstępnej kompilacji uruchamiam make kernel_menuconfig i mam tam do wyboru różne sterowniki, w tym do cs5536, o który to mi chodzi. Jak sprawić, by użyć tego pliku? Gdzie szukać tego sterownika w katalogu ze źródłami?

Pogooglowałem trochę i istnieją w Internecie strony z obydwoma terminami, ale to dla mnie wiedza tajemna.
Doczytałem i okazuje się, że ta modyfikacja sterownika use the Machine Specific Registers (MSRs) rather than the pci interface registers.

Mam problem z gpio na tym sprzęcie (z Twoim obrazem). Zainstalowałem pakiet kmod-gpio-cs5535-new i zaklęcia stąd ani stąd nie działają.

Niestety bez sukcesu. Zrobiłem jak piszesz i poza pojawieniem się katalogu /sys/class/gpio i dwóch plików w nim, nic się nie zmieniło. Uruchomiłem skrypt z openwrt.org i jest tak samo jak przedtem:

Różnica jest taka, że tam od razu było dowiązanie gpiochip0. Nie jestem pewien o czym, ale na pewno o czymś to świadczy.
Zaraz jeszcze zainstaluję wszystko na świeżo, bo bawiłem się i zainstalowałem masę pakietów. Nie sądzę jednak, że coś to zmieni.
Piszesz o instalowaniu na nowo pakietów od cs553x. To potrzebne są jakieś inne niż kmod-gpio-cs5535-new?

Zainstalowałem wszystko od nowa podążając za Twoimi radami i zagadało! Wywala jakieś błędy jak poniżej; pewnie system używał którychś linii, których stan zmieniłem ale to nie problem smile

Popsułem jeden terminal testując i teraz nie lutuję nic, tylko miernikiem sprawdzam. Zauważyłem ciekawą przypadłość: przed zdefiniowaniem typu linii jest na każdej (które dotychczas sprawdziłem) 5V. Po ustawieniu wartości "1" zmienia się na 3.3V, a na "0" - 0.3V. Tak więc trzeba będzie zrobić jakieś opóźnianie załączenia jeśli będę chciał sterować tym triakami.
Pytania:
Czy w takim wypadku będzie można bezpiecznie wykorzystać je do magistrali i2c?
Zauważyłem, że w Twoich przykładach wszędzie linie gpio są pisane małymi literami a u mnie

Skończyłem testowanie i oto wyniki:
- działa i jest dostępnych 15 linii (1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 26, 27)
- nie ma dostępu (pola na pcb) do 4 linii (17, 18, 24, 25)
- nie da się zmienić wartości (w konsoli nie ma błędu, ale napięcie się nie zmienia) 6 linii (2, 16, 19, 20, 21, 22)
- zmiana wartości linii 0 powoduje zawieszenie systemu,2 - kaszani się kontroler ATA a 5 - restart.
Tutaj jest opis czipa cs5536, który pomoże znaleźć stosowne wyjścia.

Podjąłem kolejną próbę zwiększenia ilości "ficzerów" w tytuowym terminalu i kolejne schody. Co prawda udało mi się dostać do szyny SMBus, która to niby jest tożsama z i2c, podłączałem doń BMP180 lub GY-30, lecz skutek moich działań jest taki:

Trzeba nadmienić, że w przeciwieństwie do innych linii GPIO w tym sprzęcie, 14 i 15 (SDA i SCL w SMBus) mają mizerną wydajność prądową. O ile inne potrafią wyciągnąć kilkadziesiąt mA, to te dwie pewnie <1mA. Nie wiem dokładnie, bo mi miliamperomierz przestał działać. W każdym razie trzeba zgasić światło, by stwierdzić, że dioda się świeci.
A teraz pytanie: czy da radę w sterowniku scx_200acb w prosty sposób zmienić linie GPIO na których działa? Albo może jest jakiś inny sposób uruchomienia i2c?
