Temat: TL-MR3420: obciążenie 4G i problemy z pamięcią (?)

Problem jest następujący:
przy obciążeniu łącza 4G (modem E3276), download przez jakiś czas na poziomie 30-40Mbps pojawiają się błędy, związane chyba z przydziałem pamięci (całość poniżej). Problem jest o tyle dotkliwy, że dodatkowo często powoduje to reset Wifi (na chwilę się odłącza i znów podłącza). Po wywaleniu Gargoyle i zainstalowaniu czystego openwrt (aby zaoszczędzić trochę pamięci) problem objawia się faktycznie rzadziej i przy dłuższych downloadach. Tym nie mniej się objawia. Próbowałem też instalować dystrybucję huntsmana (tę z ofmodemsandmen) ona jest z trunka (Barrier Breaker) - tam było o tyle lepiej, że pojawiały się tylko błędy

cdc_ncm 1-1.2:1.1: wwan0: kevent 2 may have been dropped

czyli bez dumpów, które są w AA i nie zrywało WIFI, a i dodatkowo ograniczał wypuszczanie tych ostrzeżeń o dropach (nie pamiętam tej funkcji, chodzi o to, że przy większej liczbie tych samych błędów logował tylko ich liczbę, a ta potrafiła być całkiem wysoka).
Wyraźnie widać, że powoduje przycinanie transferu (transfer drastycznie spada na jakiś czas). Być może nawet mógłbym osiągnąć więcej niż te 40MBps, ale router najwyraźniej nie pozwala smile.
Co może być przyczyną i jak można temu zaradzić? Podobny problem widziałem w innym wątku i dotyczył 1043 i wydawał się nierozstrzygnięty, oba routery mają 32MB pamięci RAM. Czy faktycznie sterownik cdc-ncm potrzebuje tyle pamięci przy większym obciążeniu i na tym routerze więcej po prostu nie wycisnę? Czy dołożenie swapa mogłoby pomóc?

Tak jest, ma mało pamięci. Na próbę możesz jakiś swap  zrobić, choć pojęcia nie ma czy to coś dwa na dłuższą skalę.

Masz niepotrzebny router, uszkodzony czy nie - chętnie przygarnę go.

Może i masz rację, bo to jest MR3420 v2, więc ewentualna dopłata do WDR3600 po sprzedaży nie powinna być zbyt duża.

Doświadczam podobnych problemów z WR1043ND (zwiechy przy dużej prędkości w transmission). Daj proszę znać czy wymiana routera na taki 3600 z 128 MB RAM pomogła.

Jeżeli ten sprzęt ma problem z utrzymaniem prędkości 40Mbps (generując sysycenie RAM) tzn. że jego konstrukcja jest delikatnie mówiąc "skopana" (przy tym CPU i RAM jaki posiada nie powinien mieć problemu z osiąganiem prędkości w ok. 60Mbps. Dla przykładu 2 modele AirRouter, obsługujące połączenie w RAS-E353 Aero 2 i uruchomiony klient openvpn ,system generuje takie obciążenie

No cóż,
najwyraźniej jest coś na rzeczy smile
Zastanawiam się też nad 4300 - warto?
Jest jeszcze inna opcja - ostatnio wpadło mi w ręce takie urządzonko. Może najpierw nim się pobawię, skoro już je mam smile Wówczas TL spadnie do roli wifi AP tylko (tam tego nie ma).
W każdym razie dzięki za opinie, coś z tym fantem muszę zrobić.

Jeżeli nie używasz 5GHz i nie masz odpowiednich kart to 4300 nie warto brać.
