Witam. Mam pytanie, jeśli robiąc według poradnika jak postawić CUPS i w punkcie gdzie jest
/usr/lib/cups/backend/usbnie wykrywa mi żadnej drukarki to czy coś źle robię, albo czy nie ma szans działania żądnej z drukarek?
(mam Canon IP1900 i Brother MFC 235C)

A teraz robię skaner sieciowy SANE i też problem z wykrywalnością 
tu myślę że drukarka - Brother MFC 235C nie przedstawia scannera routerowi i mam pytanie.
Czy według tego: http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bs … scn1c.html dało by się zmusić do wykrycia scannera ?

tak i zatrzymałem się na:
scanimage -LA zatrzymaj cupsa i sprawdź.
dalej to samo czyli nic nie wykrywa
Jakieś inne pomysły?
Pogrzeb więc po plikach i poszukaj. Ja sane od 12 lat nie używałem (http://eko.one.pl/?p=RownoleglySkaner <- poradnik z 2000 roku

a patrzyłeś na to: ( z strony brother dla linuxa "Setting for normal users (Required for USB Connection)" )
1. Open "/etc/fstab"
2. Add or modify a line for /proc/bus/usb as follows.
none /proc/bus/usb usbdevfs auto,devmode=0666 0 0
3. umount /proc/bus/usb
4. mount /proc/bus/usb
5. mknod -m 666 /dev/usbscanner c 180 48
może to by pomogło ?
Jako, że to mój "tutorialek" to muszę powiedzieć, że jest poprawny, co kilkukrotnie przetestowałem na sobie.
Możesz zrobić restart z odpiętym kablem od skanera, a po uruchomieniu podpiąć go i spróbować wtedy.
Ewentualnie Twój model może wymagać niestandardowych działań, choćby takich jak kolega wyżej podał. Mój Canon nie wymagał nic ponad to, co opisałem.

ok będę coś kombinował z tym może spróbuje czy na Windowsie go wykryje
jednak raczej dla sanetwain135 nie wykrywa, a z xsane-win32 nie mam pojęcia jak to uruchomić znalazłem tylko wersję xsane-win32-0_90
jak scanimage -L nie przestawia Twojego sprzętu, to oczywiście też sanetwain, czy xsane Ci nie zatrybi, bo nie jest w stanie zorientować się, że w podanej lokalizacji jest jakiś sprzęt.
A co do softu to sanetwain jest nowszy i wystarczający. A xsane jest w javie, więc odpalisz mając javę. Z tym , ze jest nie rozwijany od pewnego czasu.
Więc pozostaje mi coś w rodzaju kompilacji sterownika dla sane ? Według rady Cezarego z posta nr 12 ? Source sterowników do skanera znalazłem: http://www.brother.com/cgi-bin/agreemen … ish_source tylko dalej ciężko będzie według tamtego poradnika z 2000 roku.
Niestety raczej sobie nie poradzę z tym, może ktoś jeszcze robił SANE oprócz @sebastan ?
