I chyba pytanie pomocnicze czemu w ogóle pokazał modem na usb.
Trzeba chyba założyć ,że po usb modem pokazał Ci porty do diagnostyki , komunikacji , adb ( czyli w sumie te pomocnicze) , a po pci też jest...
Tyle że przy braku MHI nie powinien w ogóle zainicjować tego usb, bo w ogóle pci nie był initializowany z którego to wirtualne usb miało by powstać. Chyba że przypadkiem przemyciłem jakoś moduły. Do sprawdzenia w każdym razie.

Wydaje mi się ,że jakbyś modem wyjął , włożył do przejściówki , gdzie tylko byłoby USB , to by się i tak to pojawiło. ( Własni po to ,żeby choćby komendami AT go przestawić na USB, jak przez przypadek ustawiłby go ktoś na PCIe , a tego PCIe by nie było...)
Nie wiem jak w quectelach po przestawieniu pci to działa. foxconny tak mają, na pci nie udostępniają dodatkowego usb. To mój pierwszy na pci, więc wiedza się przyda.

Mam też PCB od Cudy P5 ... też IPQ50xx (tylko ten chipa od LANu nie ma , miał być wylutowany , ale kilka padów się urwało .... Stwierdziłem ,e nieopłacalna naprawa . Ale startuje , konsola jest m Wifi działa ( na orginale) , do portowania problemem będzie wgrywanie initramfs ( przez serial ?) .... Chcesz ?

Sprzęty są do ogarnięcia o ile producent nie zablokuje w jakiś sposób bootloader'a
Chyba w MC888 Pro jest secureboot.
Dziś krótko bo nie mam za dużo czasu. Adresy mac wyjaśnione, do mhi faktycznie trzeba dodać wpis, robi się coś takiego później:

Zestawia się na mbim i czytasz poleceniem uqmi zamiast umbim ?....
No i skąd wiesz ,że to mbim ?:) z usb to wiedziałem przez cat ..../usb/devices , jaki tam sie sterownik wcisnął ,a przy pcie ?
-m dla uqmi mówi że ma skorzystać z proxy po mbim. Taka mała sztuczka.
Tak się dziwne składa że przy mhi on sam tworzy urządzenia i oznacza w nazwie protokołu: wwan0mbim0. Można w kodzie dać mu np. sdx55, wtedy zrobi też wwan0qmi0, nie połączy się bo nie tworzy urządzenia wwan0, a skrypty połączeniowe go wymagają.
Wynika to ze definiowanej właściwości przy określaniu czym modem jest.
Nie wiem czy jest sens abym wrzucał tu swoje zmagania z tym sprzętem skoro Cezary już prawie go "rozbroił".

Rozumiem zostało najlepsze na koniec: Wi-Fi, tworzenie wgrywalnego obrazu.
Tak, wifi nie działało (choc sprawdź initramfs od linksysa lub glinetu, bo na którymś z nich wykryło) no i wgrywanie. + parę tak drobnostek. Co nie działało mi jeszcze masz w poście.
