z modemem LTE się uporałem, nadszedł czas na uruchomienie wkładki SFP GPON ONT w BPI-R3.
Mam wkładkę Nokia G-010S-A 3FE46541AACA GPON ONT SFP
Po włożeniu w port sfp1 na buildzie OpenWrt 23.05-SNAPSHOT r23695-80ef582dee wkładka się zgłasza:

Wygląda, że brakuje obsługi w kernelu. Taki sam objaw jest też na kernelu 6.1 (build testowy z repo dla @RafalB).

Da się dodać do obecnego kernela OpenWRT, choć wydaje mi się, że powinna być backportowana już ... ?

ale narazie się wczytuję ...

Masz niepotrzebny router, uszkodzony czy nie - chętnie przygarnę go.

Przejrzałem dokładnie cały jego wątek i jego wkładka 'wstaje' do pracy w logach.

Jaką masz wersje kernela?

Zainstaluj też ethtool-full, zwykła wersja nie odczytuje poprawnie eepromu z wkładek

Bardzo często musi być podłączony i aktywny światłowód do wkładki, dopiero wówczas jest poprawna rozpoznawana/aktywna - sprawdź taki wariant

Wkładkę teraz ethtool ładnie zczytał ...

Dodałem interfejs SFP_GPON na nią do /etc/config/network

ale jej nie pinguję ... ona ma adres domyślny: 192.168.1.10, w media konwerterze działa ok pod takim ...

Ok, zainstalowałem na drugiej karcie image z kernelem 6.1 od @Cezarego -> https://dl.eko.one.pl/test/bananapi-rpi … k/filogic/

Dodałem to repo do customfeed z modułami, doinstalowałem co trzeba ...
Skonfigurowałem j/w w poprzednim interfejs sfp_gpon do wkładki i objaw taki sam, nie pinguje wkładki SFP GPON.
ethtool (full) widzi to samo j/w.
Jutro potestuję oba z wpiętym światłowodem, bo dziś już rodzinka śpi i nie chcę budzić ...

A masz wkładkę dostępną z jakiegoś interfejsu np. sfp_gpon  coby móc coś zobaczyć na niej  jak siedzi w routerze ?
Pokaż proszę loga z dmesg jak wstaje Twoja wkładka jak jest gotowa do pracy i ma link optyczny wpięty.
Oraz prośba o info jak masz dodany interfejs z VLAN i proto na GPON.

Sama wkładka działa na kernelu 6.1, ale też nie ma dostępu do niej z ssh i web-gui jak siedzi w routerze. Pobawię się w skonfigurowanie w mediakonwerterze i załadowanie do niej modowanego softu OpenWRT 7.5.3 aby działała z moim dostawcą GPON.

Przy swoich zabawach z Leoxem, zauważyłem że wkładka długo się podnosi i konieczeny jest restart sieci, do tego wkładka a raczej samo openwrt w bananapi nie lubi autonegocjacji. Zerknij na mój wątek dotyczący leoxa, kilka wskazówek które mi pomogły, tam są. Do interfaceu od strony sfp, żeby dostać się do gui nie dostałem się.

Ok, jestem po testach na kernelu 6.1.64 kompilacji @Cezarego. Wkładka SFP Nokia G-010S-A 3FE46541AACA GPON ONT  działa OK, analogicznie jak Leox u @RafalB. Jednakże aby tak było w OpenWRT w BPI-R3 trzeba używać oryginalnego firmware we wkładce - ja używam FW -> 3FE46398BFGB18 w banku image1. ethtool wówczas raportuje wszysko poprawnie. Działa ok, prędkości max jakie daje provider bez problemów (1Gbps/100Mbps u mnie).
Jeśli włączymy we wkładce konsolę na uart asc0 (fw_setenv bootdelay 5; fw_setenv asc0 0; fw_setenv preboot) to kończy transmisję do OS OpenWRT i nie widać nic po włożeniu/wyjęciu wkładki w BPI-R3 w dmesg i nie działa poprawnie. Aby to naprawić trzeba przywrócić z backup partycję mtd1 (uboot_env), warto też przed zmianami zrobić sobie backup wszystkich partycji.  Załadowałem też modowane softy OpenWRT 7.5.3. Działają bardzo dobrze w media konwerterze i switchu z L3 ale w OpenWRT BPI-R3 wkładka nie podnosi interfejsu i nie działa. No i u mnie przepisał ten modowany soft EEPROM'a wkładki (musiałem go przywracać z backup .bin), po włożeniu wkładki z tym softem do BPI-R3 zgłaszała w dmesg: 'EEPROM checksum error' - także nie polecam do BPI-R3 tego modowanego softu OpenWRT 7.5.3, choć ma wszystkie opcje do ustawiania GPON i współpracy z OLT w Web-GUI (LuCi) łącznie z VLAN. W switchu i media konweterze wkładka z tym modowanym softem działa super (łatwa konfiguracja).

Podsumowując Nokia G-010S-A 3FE46541AACA z FW: 3FE46398BFGB18 działa dobrze w BPI-R3, po ok 70 sekundach od włączenia zasilania interfejs eth1 dostaje IP i podnosi link. Do Web-GUI i SSH wkładki podobnie jak w Leox nie ma dostępu z poziomu BPI-R3 (trzeba ją skonfigurować wcześniej w media konwerterze lub switchu z komend z konsoli wg -> https://hack-gpon.org/ont-nokia-g-010s-a/ i przełożyć do BPI-R3, nie ma tu problemów bo to się robi raz). W BPI-R3 później konfigurujemy VLAN i eth1 (br-wan) zależnie od tego jaką mamy autoryzację u dostawcy FTTH/GPON.

No wszystko bangla bardzo dobrze, modem Fibocom L860-GL ruszył od strzału, wkładka GPON ONT  Nokia G-010S-A 3FE46541AACA z FW: 3FE46398BFGB18 wg opisu powyżej (nie widać jakiejś znaczącej różnicy), także bardzo dobrze.

Podsumowując -> jestem pod wrażeniem, duża ilość dostępnych wkładek SFP, zróżnicowanych producentów 2.5Gbps i 1Gbps Ethernet działa poprawnie w BPi-R3 wink Generalnie nie działają wkładki 100Mbit/s, pomimo że obsługują Ethernet.

Kolejne przetestowane wkładki SFP niebawem jak będę miał dostępne wink
