Nie wiem czy to ważne ale wcześniej przed cupsem miałem zainstalowane p910nd i próba drukowania z sieci kończyła się ruszeniem na chwile wałków drukarki ale na tym się kończyło a windows pokazywał bład druku

Ja testuję inny model drukarki i u mnie chodzi p910nd z drukarką ML-1860. Sprzęt podobnej klasy a nawet te same tonery. Różnica to więcej stron na minutę u mnie oraz szybszy procesor u mnie oraz koncówka PID-a. Robiłem wszystko wg opisu: PRINTSERWER.
U mnie wszystko standardowo wygląda, czyli nuda...

Konfigurację klienta w Windows przeprowadziłem na tych sterownikach: ML-1670 rozpakowując plik .exe programem np. 7zip a dodanie sterownika wybrałem "Z dysku.." wskazując plik usp02 z rozpakowanego pliku. Po wszystkim wszedłem do "Dostosuj drukarkę" - zakładka "Opcje urządzenia" i zamieniłem Model drukarki z "Generic Mono Printer PCL6" na twoją "Samsung ML-1670 Series" i drukuje aż miło smile (druk poziomo, pionowo, grafika, tylko nie drukowałem dokumentów po 500 stron).
EDIT. jeszcze logread po udanym wydruku:

Spróbowałem też uruchomić drukarkę przez CUPS-a wg poradnika: CUPS
Niby jest OK:

Już wszystko działa jak trzeba na p91nd.  Zainstalowałem sterowniki drukarki z linku który podał mar_w i wszystko ruszyło od "strzała". Do tej pory używałem sterowników z płyty która była dołączona do drukarki - jak widać coś z nimi było nie tak.


Podsumowując,

Instalujemy  pn91nd wg poradniów z tego forum.

Windows 2000/XP/Vista

The following instructions should work on all versions of windows from 2000 onwards, and have been tested in both Windows 2000 and Windows Vista.

Install your printer software as you would if it were a local printer.
Go to your printer properties in the control panel/printer settings.
Select the tab "Ports".
Select "Add Port".
Select "Standard TCP/IP Port" and click on "New Port…".
Follow the wizard. In the field "Printer Name or IP Address", enter the IP address of your router.
Windows will send a couple of UDP packets to port 161 of the Router. You can safely discard them.
You will need to select a Device Type. Select "Custom" and click "Settings…".
Be sure the protocol is "Raw" and the port number is correct (i.e. 9100).
Finish the Settings wizard and close the Add Port window. The newly created Port should now be selected.
You printer should be configred now. Be sure that your firewall allows communication to the chosen port.
You may print a test page to see if all went well.

Spróbowałem uruchomić to na CUPS-ie. Udało mi się tylko wydrukować plik tekstowy z Word-a z jakimiś obrazkami z galerii WordArt Kształty oraz SmartArt. Na wydruk czekałem dosyć długo a była to tylko jedna strona. Zdjęć z "Przeglądarki obrazów" nie drukuje.
Myślę, że trzeba sobie skompilować plik rastertospl dla architektury ar71xx. Bo w paczce jest tylko dla i386, x86_64, oraz arm.

chciałem spróbować powalczyć z CUPS vs HP LJ1020.
Przeglądnąłem repozytoria eko.one i w żadnej wersji softu nie znalazłem paczki CUPS.

Zostały usunięte czy ja źle patrzę?

Dokładnie, chodzi mi o brcm63xx - dowolny soft.

Nie ma cupsa w obecnych wydaniach, nikt się nie opiekował pakietem i wyleciał z 5 lat temu.
