Nie. Zakładając że masz gargoyle/openwrt3g -
1. zrób firstboota.
2. Podłącz do innternetu
3. opkg install http://ecco.selfip.net/backfire/package … ar71xx.ipk
4. uci set network.wan.proto=dhcp
uci set network.ifname=usb0
uci commit network
5. złożyć modem do złącza
6. logread i zobaczy czy w logu jest info o /dev/ttyUSB
7. wykonać.

To znaczy że modem w ogóle nie nawiązał połączenia z operatorem. A powinien to zrobić po poleceniu: AT!SCACT=1,1 które u Ciebie zwraca błąd.
Włączyłeś obsługę usb?
Spróbuj ustawić apn: internet a użytkownika i hasło pozostaw puste. U mnie 306 działa przy tych ustawieniach.
To może stwórz kopię ustawień:Administracja->Kopia ustawień->Kopia zapasowa. Widzę że modem miga tak jak na openwrt czyli inaczej niż byłby podłączony pod PC. Miga co 1,5 sekundy pomarańczowa dioda. Niestety modyfikacja ustawień o których wspominałeś nie pomogła. Mam iPlusa.
Jeśli miga pomarańczowa dioda to znaczy, że modem nie jest zalogowany do sieci. Ustaw pin na karcie i wpisz go w gui.
Nawet po ustawieniu PINU na karcie SIM oraz w gui nie mogę się połączyć. Zaraz po włączeniu do zasilania świeci się przez chwilkę niebieska dioda która następnie zmienia kolor na pomarańczowy i miga co 1,5 sekundy
Zaloguj się na router (przez telnet jeśli nie włączyłeś ssh, użytkownik root) i pokaż co dostajesz w odpowiedzi na dmesg.

Jak widać modem został przełączony i poprawnie wykryty.
Jaką odpowiedź dostajesz na polecenie: comgt -d /dev/usb/tts/0
Dziś zainstalowałem nowszą testową wersję DD-WRT od BrainSlayer czyli
Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (11/21/10) std (build 15778). Oczywiście dane operatora oraz obsługę USB skonfigurowałem jak poprzednio. Po wpisaniu wspomnianego polecenia Putty długo myśli. Dziś ponownie sprawdzałem czy modem działa pod Ubuntu 10.10 - działał bez zarzutów bez dodatkowej konfiguracji. Interfejs który pojawił mi się w Ubuntu w standardowym programie do łączenia się z siecią z tego systemu to ttyUSB2. Ponownie wyłączyłem PIN w DD-WRT i na karcie SIM
Zauważyłem że takie samo "miganie" diody występuje w modemie jak w ruterze oraz PC gdy zmieniam rodzaj sieci ręcznie 2G/3G czyli dioda pomarańczowa miga co 1,5 sekundy. Na PC wygląda ten moment tak:

Odpal jeszcze comgt -d /dev/usb/tts/1 i dla kolejnych interfejsów i pokaż wyniki.
/dev/usb/tts/2, ale modem sam w sobie się nie rejestruje w sieci?
Modem powinien zarejestrować się automatycznie. A może nie masz zasięgu w miejscu gdzie stoi router?

1)Zmieniłem APN na www.plusgsm.pl oraz login/hasło na plusgsm
2)U mnie jest średni zasięg 2G -90dBm oraz słaby 3G z anteną -100dBm. Moje próby połączenia dotyczyły zasięgu 2G wymuszonego w Watcherze Sierry oraz przy trybie automatycznym w DD-WRT. Pomogło ... podłączenie anteny zewnętrznej z słabym zasięgiem 3G. Gdy został wykryty to mogłem już dowolnie to zmieniać zasięg. Dziwne ?
Zauważyłem że DD-WRT działa stabilnie jeśli wybiorę ręcznie DNS-y. Internet bardzo dobrze śmiga - tak jak pod Linuxem. Firmware Linuxowe to fajna sprawa:)
DD-WRT bardzo się cięło u mnie i LAN co jakiś czas zamierał(trzeba było robić reset do ustawień domyślnych). Zainstalowałem gargoyle/openwrt3g; postępowałem tak jak w drugim poście od góry. Dioda świeci prawidłowo czyli tak jak po podłączeniu do PC przed połączeniem z Internetem. Modem ten sam -Sierra USB 306-Plus ale nie mogę się połączyć. Brak PIN-u na karcie SIM

Masz bład na magistrali usb. Masz hub? Może modem więcej prądu potrzebuje. Lub masz coś jeszcze do usb podłączone.
Nie mam huba - modem jest bezpośrednio podłączony do rutera. Zasilanie wyrabia ponieważ modem działał pod DD-WRT tylko te nieszczęsne zawieszanie się LAN-u wtedy występowało. Picocon zainstalowałem - komendy AT działają poprawnie. Jak odinstalowywałem DD-WRT to korzystałem z pendrive który dobrze działał więc wykluczam uszkodzenie portu USB. Niepokoi mnie przy wpisywaniu komend:
