Temat: Karta sieciowa USB jako AP do PC

Cześć. Chce w końcu porzucić system xiaomi (bo przez lata nie ma nic na open). Przejść na ubiquiti... Żart lol

Chce zrobić coś w rodzaju centralnego zarządzania z PC (intel celeron 2 core 2GB ram i 2GB SSD - na początek, wszystko można rozbudować) oraz pod to budować infrastrukturę (router cudy WR3000h już mam z open). W przyszłości chcę mieć jedną stronę gdzie będę mógł zarządzać, a właściwie odczytywać i ewentualnie aktualizować - taki jest plan, jak się nie uda to trudno, cielak będzie jako router przewodowy. Jednak teraz potrzebuję podłączyć jakąś kartę pod usb by w pobliżu wysyłać wi-fi z prędkością AC. Czy możecie coś podpowiedzieć? To nie będzie rozwiązanie docelowe, ale rok z pewnością tak...

Ale ja właśnie to widziałem i od tego się zaczęło. Wcześniej miałem tylko Cudy WR3000h który do dziś dnia właściwie straszy w piwnicy. Teraz mam też cielaka, ale koło niego musi być jakieś wi-fi. Główny AP bedzie oddalony, a że kable już są to wystarczy tylko odpowiednio podłączyć. Mam w piwnicy też starego TP-linka, ale tam prędkość to jedynie 150mb/s co zdecydowanie jest za mało nawet na komunikację wewnątrz sieci. Dlatego wpadłem na pomysł dongla wi-fi ale już z czymś szybszym, zawsze kiedyś może się on przydac jako dodatkowa karta wi-fi.

To karta WIFi6 (ax) ale może też działać (ac) wspiera USB 3.0 (ale też może działać 2.0).W AP można wybrać tylko jedno radio albo 2.4G albo 5G.

Te odkręcane antenki dają zaskakująco dobry zasięg. No i karta jest oszczędna - nie zżera dużo prądu.

Dzięki. Fajna, ale droga. Teraz dokupując kolejne CUDY WR3000h dodam paręnaście złotych więcej i mam 100% router/AP. Zewnętrzne anteny to super sprawa, ale nie na moim etapie instalacji - gdzieś za jakieś 2 lata+ to co innego.

Ja ją kupiłem aby działała jako klient do RPi (a nie AP) i tylko na chilę przełączyłem ją w tryb AP. Działała ale miała też przestoje. Nie wiem z czego wynikały: zarządzanie energią być może.
Karta widzę zdrożała.
Parę miesięcy temu na Ali kupiłem ją za USD 14.
