Z ciekawości otworzyłem mojego AP Netgear WAC540.

Ma wystawioną konsolę więc mogę załączyć bootlog.

Pytanie - czy jest szansza by zrobić na niego Openwrt?

Mam wolny egzemplarz. Jeżeli jest chętny by na nim popracować to mogę podesłać.

Po zalogowaniu do konsoli nie mogę wywołać komendy. Dostaję zawsze odpowiedź "Insight Mode : No configs allowed !!!"

Uruchamiając initramfs jeszcze nic nic psujesz. Więc tak możesz sprawdzić.

Masz tam podwójny zestaw partycji przełączany w uboocie: https://git.openwrt.org/?p=openwrt/open … df941d2c06 więc w razie czego jesteś w stanie uruchomić oryginał. Na tak swoją drogą to pewnie nmrpflash na nim będzie działało - to możesz sprawdzić ZANIM zaczniesz zabawę z OpenWrt.

itd, ile tam tego masz. Z później przez winscp skopiuj je sobie z negeara do komputera. OpenWrt powinno normalnie podnieść interfejsy i powinieneś móc się przez ssh do niego zalogować.

Mapa flashu jest w tym pliku initramfs , więc zgrywanie partycji bez potwierdzenia ,że rozkład jest ten sam to dość ryzykowne...
(W sensie takim ,że użycie tego backupu będzie ryzykowne).

Mała sztuczka - nie ważne jak jest flash podzielony. Zgrywając wszystkie partycje i później wszystkie odtwarzając dostaniesz tą samą zawartość binarną flasha (pomijam sprawy związane z nand itd). Chodzi  o posiadanie kopii flasha, nie patrząc na oryginalny podział.

Ale i tak nic z tego jak nie widzi pamięci.

Czy w związku z tym jest jakaś szansa by niedużym nakładem pracy zrobić Openwrt na ten AP czy raczej dać sobie spokój?

OpenWrt jak widzisz startuje, z tym że jest to inny sprzęt niż 510. Trzeba przepisać dts i dodać co najmniej obsługę flash, zobaczyć jak jest z ethernetem, wifi i diodami. Szansa na zrobienie tego jest duża, ktoś po prostu musi pochylić karku nad tym.

Masz niepotrzebny router, uszkodzony czy nie - chętnie przygarnę go.

Z tego co czytam to zadanie przekracza moje możliwości.

Jeżeli ktoś z forumowiczów może i chce nad tym popracować to ze swojej strony:
1. Udostępniam sprzęt  - mogę wysłać paczkomatem.
2. Mogę też pomagać zdalnie (wgrywać i testować) ale to pewnie mniej wydajna metoda.
3. Stawiam zgrzewkę piwa lub dobrą kawę:)
