Temat: E3276s na TL-MR3020

Witam.

Od pewnego już czasu używam Gargoyle, wyciskając z mojego ubogiego routera siódme poty. Router to TP-Link TL-MR3020 v1. Właśnie chciałem przetestować modem LTE, Huawei E3276s - 150, ale niestety mój Gargoyle go nie trawi.

Modem nie ma simlocka, wpięty do komputera z Linuksem pięknie się połączył.

Gargoyle wykrywa go jako tylko jedno urządzenie (/dev/ttyUSB0). Gdy testowałem kiedyś modem ZTE, urządzenia były cztery, ale np. modem 3G, który mam, też ma tylko jedno.

Gargoyle jest w wersji 1.6.2.2 (r42647), zrobiony extroot na pendrive, wszystko chodzi poprawnie na hubie USB.

Modem LTE miga diodą na niebiesko i nie łączy się z siecią.

Sprawdzałem przez www, w USBReset pojawiało się „Huawei Mobile”. Z kolei jako modem do wyboru w konfiguracji, pojawia się tylko /dev/ttyUSB0. Już pokazuję:

A teraz wybierz w gui ncm (nie zwykły modem 3g), powinien się połączyć.

Z możliwych połączeń WAN/Internet mam do wyboru:

  • DHCP (Kablowe)

  • PPPoE (Kablowe)

  • Statyczny IP (Kablowe)

  • DHCP (Wi-Fi)

  • Statyczny IP (Wi-Fi)

  • Modem CDMA/3G/LTE (obecnie zaznaczone)

  • Modem 3G/LTE (NDIS)

  • Wyłączone

Jako wykorzystanie modemu pasuje tylko obecne i kolejne na liście urządzenie. Acz próbowałem z NDIS i też nie chce zadziałać (ani jeden, ani drugi modem).

Być może jednak brak jakiegoś firmware, albo jednak potrzebna nowsza wersja Gargoyle?

Mam co prawda pasywny hub, ale nie widzę nawet prób połączenia z siecią, a wydaje mi się, że brak prądu powinien objawiać się padem całego routera. Tak się jednak nie dzieje, więc wstępnie wykluczam hub jako powód. Jak będzie już połączenie, i będzie zrywane lub będzie padał router, to zakupię aktywny hub. smile

Rozszerzyłem próby o pingowanie serwera (8.8.8.8) i restart WAN, 60 sekund opóźnienia i ping co minutę. Wymusiłem również inny adres MAC (jak na Twoim zrzucie, 00:01:02:03:04:05). Niestety, bez efektów – miga pojedynczo niebieska (nie błękitna) dioda. Całość zrestartowałem na tych ustawieniach, poczekałem trzy minuty i skopiowałem log:

I można z tym coś zrobić, czy nie bardzo już? Najnowszy Gargoyle? Router raportuje mi, że jest najnowszy – ale zdaje się, że można wgrać ten na innym silniku (Barrier Breaker), z tego co zrozumiałem, tamten (Attitude Adjustment) nie jest już rozwijany a ten drugi jest (nawet widzę Chaos Calmer). smile Da się to w ogóle zainstalować na tym moim cacku?

Widzę, że obrazy dla MR3020 są, ale musiałbym instalować wersję bez GUI, bo z LuCI ma prawie 8 MB. Mam zrobiony i działający extroot… Da się to jakoś wykorzystać przy takim upgrade, by uniknąć extrootowania tego od nowa?

Przepraszam z góry za upierdliwość, ale bardzo nie chciałbym sobie zbrickować routera.

Czy plik luci-15.05-ar71xx-generic-tl-mr3020-v1-8M-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin będzie OK i należy go po prostu wgrać przez opcję upgrade w obecnym GUI, czy lepiej zastosować jednak factory – nie wiem, jak bardzo różnią się od siebie AA od CC.

Co stanie się w tym momencie po odłączeniu extroota (oczywiście po restarcie), czy do pamięci routera tez trafi jakaś część nowego kodu, czy upgraduje się tylko partycja na pendrivie (extroot), a w routerze pozostanie to, co jest teraz

Opcjonalnie, mogę wgrać pliki bezpośrednio na pendrive z komputera z linuxem, tylko nie wiem, czy tak się da.

Nie będzie OK. To jest dla routerów z 8MB pamięci flash. Jak byk w kilkunastu miejscach o tym napisałem, łacznie  katalogiem do ściągania plików. Dlaczego to zignorowałeś? Dlaczego nie czytasz opisów co to są za obrazy?

Exroot nie będzie upgradowany, o tym też napisałem. Nie czytałeś.

Czytam opisy, i staram się je zrozumieć. Zasugerowałem się Twoim zdaniem z posta powyżej: „Zainstaluj luci i resztę, skoro już masz extroota”. Wiem, że MR3020 ma 4 MB flash, sądziłem, że (wykorzystując extroot) można zastosować plik 8 MB. Źle to zrozumiałem po prostu. Zapędziłem się też dalej w ten tok myślenia, sądząc, że extroot się zupgraduje. Przepraszam.

Wygląda na to, że trzeba zrobić wszystko od nowa (może poza partycjonowaniem pendrive'a). Jedynym plikiem z CC będzie ten bez LuCI. Poczytam forum i stronę na razie dalej, co i w jakiej kolejności przygotować.

Edit: w międzyczasie jeszcze na AA zainstalowałem LuCI, niestety nie widzę i tam możliwości zmiany trybu pracy modemu na NCM/NDIS, czyli wracam do lektury…

Mam podobną sytuację do kolegi Marsjanina - router MR3420 z Gargoyle na exroot i wizja przejścia na CC. Czy można zrobić backup w postaci obrazu karty SD na której jest exroot i w przypadku problemów przywrócić go? Ruszy wtedy na starym systemie ze starym konfigiem? Nie chciał bym znowu siedzieć 2 dni bez internetu...

Tak, możesz. Oczywiście jeżeli nie będziesz formatował karty, bo w przeciwnym przypadku musisz pamiętać o zmianie uuid w konfigu.

To ja się 'dołożę' - ostatnio zmieniłem w MR3020 soft z Gargoyle by Obsy 1.6.2.2, który pracował z Huawei 3131-S2 na ostatni obraz CC p. Cezarego. Modem to teraz Huawei 3372 Orange (HiLink). Całośc sprawuje się dobrze, modem podłączony bez huba, router (3020) ma wyłączone WiFi, tylko kabel, dalej do WR4300. Na poprzednim sofcie było gorzej, modem LTE działał ale sieć jakoś tak niemrawo...
Reasumując - proponuję do MR3020 CC 15.05 bez GUI, doinstalować kmod-usb-net-cdc-ether oraz - nad tym chwilkę się zastanowiłem smile - koniecznie usb-modeswitch i powinno być dobrze.

Gargoyle nie jest i nigdy nie było "standardowym środowiskiem". To luci jest własnie standardem w openwrt. Gargoyle to inny projekt.

Rozumiem, sam używam Linuksa od 2007 roku regularnie a wcześniej sporadycznie (obok Windowsa), umiem docenić potęgę konsoli (nauczyłem się po okresie fascynacji różnymi wodotryskami w X-ach), zresztą zabawa po SSH też jest fajna, niemniej nie miałem przed próbami z Gargoyle do czynienia z tak okrojoną platformą (no, może poza C64). Poza tym budowa i zadania routera nieco się różnią od komputera czy wirtualki z SSH. Dodanie współdzielenia dysku, radia internetowego itp. jak już „odblokowałem” sobie „pojemność dysku i pamięci” (poprzez extroota ze swapem) poszła mi względnie łatwo (większość w GUI), za to na modemach i komendach AT się za bardzo nie znam, nie mam pojęcia – może da się jakoś wgrać odpowiednie sterowniki do niego również pod AA, bez konieczności przechodzenia na CC… To byłoby najszybsze rozwiązanie mojego problemu, jak się nie da to trzeba będzie zainstalować CC. A na nim bez GUI średnio sobie poradzę, mam nadzieję, że nie będzie problemów z extrootem i poleci. Potem zainstalować LuCI już łatwo. Dobrze byłoby zainstalować też ten poprzedni interfejs Gargoyle (zamiast LuCI), chyba, że nie jest kompatybilny z CC.
