Używam e3272 (HiLink) wpiętego bezpośrednio do portu USB TL-MR3420 v2.
Nie doświadczam żadnych problemów z zawieszaniem modemu.
Niestety, nie wiem czy i ewentualnie jak wykonać extroot'a w przypadku tego modemu.

Gdzie znaleźć przykład konfiguracji dla tego pakietu?

Jest prawie dobrze.
Prawie polega na tym, że łącząc się za pomocą WiFi na Gargoyle nie otrzymuję adresu IP z DHCP działającego na firewall-u.
Jeżeli ustawię adres ręcznie wszystko hula, aż miło.

DHCP na Gargoyle jest wyłączone.
Chodzi mi o to, żeby interface sieci bezprzewodowej miał inny adres niż sieci lan.

Witam,
mam nietypowy problem.
Otóż, konfiguracja sieci wygląda następująco:
1. 192.168.1.1, maska 255.255.255.252 - TL-WR1043ND z zainstalowanym Gargoyle i działającym DualWAN-em,
2. 192.168.1.2 maska 255.255.255.252; 192.168.0.1, maska 255.255.255.0 (dwie karty sieciowe) - firewall, dhcp, dns itd.

Tutaj pojawia się problem/pytanie: czy da się skonfigurować interface WLAN w Gargoyle tak, aby miał przypisany statycznie adres 192.168.0.249, umożliwiał maszynom podłączonym przez WiFi pobieranie adresu IP z puli obsługiwanej przez DHCP na firewall-u? Jeżeli tak, to jak to zrobić?

Z góry dziękuję za pomoc.

Dziwi mnie tylko fakt, że podobny efekt nie występuje podczas pracy z oryginalnym firmwarem producenta routera.

Chyba znalazłem przyczynę problemów, zupełnie przypadkiem.
Prawdopodobnie wcale nie chodziło o adresację, czy nawet kanał, na którym operował router.

Po ostatnich zmaganiach ku mojemu wielkiemu zdziwieniu sieć działała bez większego problemu przez kilkanaście godzin. Nagle przestała działać. Szybko przeanalizowałem co się mogło zmienić. Otóż nic, poza odłączeniem netbooka od ładowarki. Zatem szybciutko podłączyłem go ponownie. Sieć działa. Odłączam ponownie - sieć nie działa. Co ciekawe nie tylko na moim komputerze.

Wydaję zatem polecenie:

sudo iwconfig eth1 power off

i sieć ponownie działa.

Jeżeli taki stan rzeczy będzie się nadal utrzymywał to myślę, że to problem ze sterownikiem karty sieciowej. Posiadam kartę Broadcom na chipsecie BCM4313. Sterownik w użyciu broadcom-wl.

Ograniczyłem zakres DHCP od 2 do 16.
Jedyne czego nie zrobiłem, to nie ustawiłem opcji "Wymuszaj używanie przez klientów serwerów DNS routera".

W międzyczasie zrobiłem firstboot.
Teraz USB montuje się automatycznie.

Mam nadal problem z WiFi.
Po kablu wszystko śmiga, po WiFi nie mam dostępu do sieci.

Gargoyle najpierw próbuje zamontować to jak mu się uda to to wyświetla. Jak nie to nie. Więc zobacz czy da się zamontować z palca po prostu.

Spróbowałem i nic niestety.
Niby w konsoli jest, że zamontowano, w przeglądarce ciągle nic.
Żeby tego było mało to dzisiaj rano zdechło WiFi. Niby dostałem adres, ale pingi nie idą, strony się nie otwierają. W logach nic nowego, po prostu nic.

Ehh, coś chyba nie mam szczęścia do tego Gargoyle, a kupiłem ten router tylko ze względu na możliwość jego zainstalowania.

Pojawił się inny problem. Po podłączeniu pendrive'a w Gargoyle widzę tylko

Co może być nie tak? Jak sobie z tym poradzić?

Tak/nie. Nie bo nigdy mac80211 tego nie wspierał, tak bo w ostatnich poprawkach dodali opcję auto, ale ona po prostu wybiera pierwszy możliwy kanał. Czyli tak jak być ustawił z palca.

Ustawiłem kanał z palca, zgodnie z resztą z sugestią @batu tak, aby się nie pokrywał z innym i póki co router śmiga. Jak długo tak będzie? Tego nie wiem.
Na wszelki wypadek wrzucam to co jest w logach po restarcie routerka, to może powiecie mi czy coś jest nie tak.

Co masz w logu po restarcie routera?


Ja tak miałem jak sąsiad za ścianą nadawał na tym samym kanale. Wówczas wifi prawie w ogóle nie działało.  Dopiero jak zmieniłem na wolny działa do dziś bez problemów.

Sprawdzę dziś wieczorem, jak tylko dotrę do domu.
Podpowiedzcie mi, bo nie kojarzę. W oryginalnym oprogramowaniu jest możliwość ustawienia kanału na AUTO. Czy OpenWrt/Gargoyle ma także taką możliwość?

Jak dobrze pamiętam na ostatnim OpenWrt kiedy ustawiałem kanał na AUTO w LuCI wyłączało mi się radio i na tym się kończyła cała zabawa.

Witam,
nie wiem co jest grane, ale u mnie WiFi działa prawidłowo wyłącznie wtedy, gdy w routerku siedzi oryginalny firmware producenta.
Jeżeli wgram OpenWrt albo Gargoyle (EN lub PL) to nie ma szans na to, żeby WiFi działało prawidłowo. Niby komputer dostaje adres, ale routera już pingować nie mogę, o zarządzeniu routerem przez web lub przejrzeniu jakiejkolwiek strony internetowej  w ogóle mogę zapomnieć.
Jak podłączę po kablu, bez restartu routera, to wszystko śmiga, aż miło.

Nie wiem jak ugryźć temat. Jakie dane muszę dostarczyć, aby ktoś mógł mi pomóc?

Wykluczam wadę samego routera, bo na oryginalnym firmware chodzi.

Bardzo proszę o pomoc.

Po dokładniejszym zbadaniu problemu zdecydowałem się reklamować swój router tym bardziej, że udało mi się doprowadzić do sytuacji wyłączenia radia również podczas pracy w trybie mixed bg (w trybie n only i g only również).

Niemniej jednak dzięki za zainteresowanie tematem.

A czy istnieją może jakieś programowe narzędzia, które pomogą mi ocenić czy sprzęt fizycznie wygląda na sprawny czy nie?
Pytam, bo w tym temacie zupełnie się nie orientuję.

Szczerze powiedziawszy mnie bardziej irytują problemy z wyłączającym się radiem.
Jest to dla mnie o tyle niepokojące, że występuje zarówno na Gargoyle jak i oryginalnym oprogramowaniu producenta. Poza tym gdy chciałem dokładniej sprawdzić, czy u mnie pojawia się opisany przez Ciebie problem okazało się, że nie. Mogę wyłączać i włączać kartę do woli i póki działa radio w routerze, karta też działa i łączność jest zapewniona.

Zastanawiam się w związku z tym, czy nie reklamować routera w ramach gwarancji.

Wydaje się, że u mnie problem wygląda jeszcze inaczej.
Otóż router działa sobie sprawnie przez bliżej nieokreślony czas, po upływie którego sprzęt zachowuje się tak, jakby radio przestawało działać.
Sądzę jednak, że może to być spowodowane sterownikiem linuksowym do karty WiFi netbooka.
Ze względu na to, że nie mam innej możliwości weryfikacji moich przypuszczeń zainstalowałem Windows'a i aktualnie testuję zachowanie sprzętu. Jeżeli wszystko będzie działać dobrze stawiam na sterownik karty, a nie wadę routera czy jego oprogramowania.
Dodam jeszcze, że problem występuje zarówno na Gargoyle jak i oryginalnym oprogramowaniu producenta.

Na początek chciałbym się przywitać ze wszystkimi, a następnie podzielić się z Wami informacją, że mam podobny problem na routerze TP-Link 1043ND v. 1.8.

Zauważyłem, że występuje on tylko wtedy, gdy ustawię radio w tryb B+G+N.

Po przestawieniu w tryb B+G nie ma żadnego problemu.
Ponadto mam wrażenie, że opisana sytuacja dotyczy wyłącznie urządzeń, które potrafią obsłużyć tryb N i aktualnie w nim pracują.

Wniosek stąd, że w czasie gdy pojawia się problem w komunikacji router <-> netbook pracujący w standardzie N nie ma problemu z komunikacją router <-> komputer stacjonarny czy router <-> telefon, które są w stanie obsłużyć co najwyżej tryb G.
