Hello together,

i have an issues with download performance on MF289F with Openwrt:
If i make a speedtest, i have only between 8 and 10 MBit Download, and 20 MBit Upload (80/20 mbit theoretical possible).

i have also a Huawei B618S-22d. If i use this device i have between 30 and 60 MBit download and 20 MBit upload - is there a problem with frequencies on ZTE Device, or maybe another issue on my device?

One further question regarding ZTE MF289F and ZTE MF289D - whats the difference between this devices?

There can be a simply problem with antennas ( i.e. broken socet for external antenna with not passing the signal to internal antenna).
B618 is a cat.11 lte device , it can aggregate only 2 bands .... Normally ,if MF289F aggregates one ore band should be at least equal or faster...

Stich86, do you know the command to turn on the volte function in this modem from mf289f? I put cards from two different operators, the volte works for sure (tested on mf286d) and unfortunately both my mf289f dumps to 3G as it happens to the number of the card inserted into the router. And the next question is whether there is any new soft for this modem. Two of my versions have B03. Anything newer?

@tango38317 , no . OpenWRT don't do anything with modem's firmware (especially flash/change firmware /change revision).

With MF286D there are some possibilities to change firmware , but not by Openwrt .
For MF289F there is no possibility to flash firmware yet.

So this modem FW comes from your orginal router ,and it is not changed. I have the same revision in my MF289F from Vodafone DE.

Stupocentowej pewności nie mam ,czy na tej karcie jest aktywowane VoLTE ,ale 5G na pewno jest...

Ja tego MF289F mam z niemieckiego Vodafone , więc nie tylko na nasz kraj
stich tam mocno działał ,żeby to volte uruchomić , może coś mu się udało. A poza tym to jest modem , nie do dzwonienia

Działą wam dobrze to VoLTE? Ja w Orange musiałem wyłączyć w telefonie bo czasami nie dało się zrozumieć rozmówcy. Ten sam problem z WiFi Calling. Odkąd mam wyłączone zero problemów z jakością połączeń.

U mnie na sofcie Nordica (sprawdzałem ostatnio bodaj na B10) nie chciało to ruszyć na żadnej z testowych kart od wielkiej czwórki, cały czas dropowało mnie do 3G. Muszę powtórzyć test na B12.

Będę szczery, że interesuje mnie bardziej, czy głos z modemu dałoby się przekierować na któryś port szeregowy, zamiast wbudowanych portów FXS, a dalej do Asteriska, a'la chan_dongle - który na tą chwilę niestety obsługuje tylko modemy 3G Huaweia.

u mnie w orange free na kartę wymagało włączenia ale darmowe. Natomiast plus to firmowa karta i też wymagała dodatkowo włączenia sms-em ale też darmowe przynajmniej na razie. Testowałem też playowe karty z fakt mobile i też szło po volte

Wlasnie przetestowalem 2 karty z fakt mobile.Jedna jakis czas temu resetowana przez konsultanta bo co nie dzialalo volte w ogole na rzadnym urzadzeniu no i ta dziala idealnie caly czas niebieska dioda i wzialem inna malo uzywana i nic na niej nie bylo wlaczane ani restowana i ta zrzuca do 3g i miga zielona dioda. Takze musisz Leo do konsula play dzownic zeby Ci ta ze swojej konsoli odpalil.U mnie dziala
