W tym drugim nie masz danych dla karty 5G, weź sprawdź sobie łatkę, do której podałem linka.
Ten model występuje w dwóch wersjach, z kartą 5G która ma dane kalibracyjne tylko we flash lub tylko w OTP (bezpośrednio na karcie).

Nie widzę na zdjęciu karty EEPROMa a skoro w NAND też nie ma danych kalibracyjnych, to raczej nie ma innej możliwości. Teoretycznie dane kalibracyjne da się zapisać w samej karcie ale prawdę mówiąc nigdy takiej nie widziałem i chyba nawet sterownik tego nie obsługuje - wszystkie mają dodatkowy EEPROM na pokładzie.

Na okres przejściowy potrzebuję uruchomić ZyXEL NBG6716, na którym jest jakieś stare openwrt, lub Lede.
Chcę wgrać czyste openwrt i do tego doinstalować easyconfig.
1. Zmieści się to bez extroot?.
2. Którą wersję wybrać 23.05-SNAPSHOT czy 24.10-SNAPSHOT. Zależy na stabilności, to jest router tylko używany sporadycznie.
3. Czy na 23.05-SNAPSHOT oraz 24.10-SNAPSHOT jest konfiguracja firewall po staremu. Czy odbywa się to w inny nowy sposób nftables. To samo pytanie dotyczy konfguracji network oraz wireless. Jest po staremu czy jakieś wodotryski.
4. Router posiada już openwrt lub lede. Czy wgranie nowego systemu np. 23.05-SNAPSHOT bez zachowania konfiguracji odbywa się w ten sposób.

Ad.1. Tak, zmieści się, ponieważ OpenWRT wgrywa się do pamięci NAND, nie Flash - a NAND masz albo 128, albo 256 mB.

Ad.2. Wgrywałbym nowszą. Nowszy kernel, rozwijana itd.

Ad.3. 24.10 nftables, 23.05 po staremu (iptables), jeśli dobrze kojarzę; tu chodzi jednak o nie tyle firewall co iptables jeżeli używasz go bezpośrednio albo skryptów. Network i Wireless, raczej po staremu, a na pewno zdecydowana większość.

Ad.4. Z fabrycznego flashujemy za pomocą polecenia:
mtd -r write openwrt-23.05-snapshot-r24133-33b45c0a0e-ath79-nand-zyxel_nbg6716-squashfs-factory.bin /dev/m
Czyli z obrazu -factory.bin, nie -sysupgrade.tar. Sposobem, który opisałeś robimy już po przeflashowaniu do OpenWRT z fabrycznego.

Wolałbym uniknąć brick żeby nie męczyć się z reanimowaniem, choć już dawno temu to przerabiałem. Także bez urazy, dopytam.
Udało mi się zalogować na ZyXEL NBG6716. Jest na nim OpenWrt 21.02-SNAPSHOT, r16398-5124b96e72 Build time: 2021-12-05. 12:33 CET. Rozumiem, że mogę bez przeszkód zainstalować SYSUPGRADE-4M-KERNEL OpenWrt 23.05 w ten sposób.
