Yes, I was doing the upgrade, now I'm on B12 and openwrt still can connect big_smile

Thank you again, now I'll do the upgrade, but even with B02 openwrt is able to bring up the cellular interface.

Success! I just followed the wrong tutorial. By selecting the UPDATE folder inside the "zte mf286d Nordic to Nordic_B12 192.168.32.1 pw admin" I succesfully flashed B12. Now I'm back to openwrt and with picocom I see that the modem reports:

Manufacturer: ZTE CORPORATION
Model: MF286DMODULE
Revision: BD_TELIAMF286DV1.0.0B02
SVN: 14
IMEI: 866754040831237
+GCAP: +CGSM

OK

so I guess that now I have to upgrade the modem firmware piecemeal until B12.

Mmh, my fault, I selected the folder and not the UPDATE folder inside it, now it's flashing something, let's see...

Router firmware AND modem firmware.

So, where do I find a framework update that allows me to go back to B02 from B14?

Every one of those I tried from the megaupload link in the first post didn't work.
I tried
MF286D_Framework+OpenWrt (both B01_Play to Nordic + OpenWrt and B02ip_Nordic to Nordic + OpenWrt)
Nordic to Nordic zte mf286d 192.168.31.1 pw ---
Play to Nordic zte mf286d 192.168.32.1 pw ---
zte mf286d Nordic to Nordic_B12 192.168.32.1 pw admin

and every one says "Invalid selected version!"

Another stupid question: even if one of the framework updates worked, it would just change the router firmware but not the modem one, right?
In that case I would be back to square one sad

I mean, from the megaupload link in the first post

I flashed back mtd8 and mtd9 so I could use the zte update framework.
I obtained it from here, which supposedly contains a firmware downgrade from b14 to b12, but it doesn't work (framework complains about "Invalid selected version" which is mentioned in the tutorial where it says to apply the "nordic to nordic" upgrade that I cannot find

Edit: ouch, I didn't see your reply, I'm downloading everything from megaupload, which framework update should I try first?

Edit2: I tried every available folder from that megaupload download and all of them say "Invalid selected version"

Use framework, back software to B02 and update manually to B12.

framework is a windows program, right?
I suppose it only works with the original firmware so I should revert mtd8 and mtd9?
Then where do I find B02 to flash it with framework?

Do not update modem to B14, qmi will not work.

I let the router auto upgrade from B12 to B14 right before installing openwrt, to discover later that qmi doesn't work sad
Is there a way to revert the modem firmware to B12 (preferably from openwrt)?

Unfortunately, it looks like there are currently more problems than advantages (at least on OWRT).

Did you find a solution for openwrt with b14?
I cannot bring up the cellular interface (see here)
Alternatively, is there a way to downgrade the firmware to B12 (which supposedly works with openwrt)?
