I have just installed latest version (8.8.) and transfer is ok again smile.

I installed original firmware and everything is ok. So the error is somewhere in openwrt firmware.

I don't have any voip devices connected, just the harddrive. But I found out that, if I boot into linux the transfer is quite ok around 7 MB/s. So the problem is  probably in windows.

The transfer is  through LAN.

Hello,
I upgraded Backfire from version of 2010-06-01 to 2010-07-27. After this upgrade, when I want to transfer data from my external NTFS drive through Samba or FTP the speed is only around 150 kB/s instead of 8 MB/s, which I had earlier. What may be the cause?
Thanks

Ok, do I need to free some RAM before upgrade (I have now around 7 MB of RAM free)?

Hello,

Do you plan to use 10.03 "Backfire"?

Thanks for the advice, manual mounting did the trick.
But I have another problem. I noticed really slow transfer speed from a hard drive connected to the router to my PC.  I have 100Mbit LAN. With last firmware it was around 8 MB/s over ftp and samba. Now I get 2 MB/s over ftp and 4 MB/s over samba.  Even when I am downloading something from the internet the speed is noticeably slower. What might be the cause?

I have problem with automounting USB hard drive with NTFS partition. Hard drive is automounted but the corresponding directory is empty. I am not sure that ntfs3g is used for mounting and that might be the problem.
