Temat: Nokia 21M-02 i tp-link mr3220

Witam, od jakiegoś czasu próbuje uruchomić modem Nokia 21M-02 na ruterze TP-Link MR3220. Modem po uzyskaniu połączenia natychmiast się rozłącza i zawiesza. Na ruterze mam obecnie wgrany najnowszy Openwrt który tu znalazłem, zresztą na oryginalnym sofcie TP-Linka było podobnie. Ponieważ modem nie był rozpoznawany przez ruter przełączyłem go w tryb modemu (bazowałem na plikach konfiguracyjnych usb_modeswitch od innych modeli Nokii) a następnie dograłem sterowniki ACM, czego efektem jest:

Modem uzyskał połączenie, jednak po próbie pingowania się zawiesił (szybko migajaca dioda na czerwono).
Próbowałem podłączać modem poprzez aktywny hub ale to nic nie pomogło.
Macie jakiś pomysł, co może być przyczyną resetowania sie modemu?

Tez to zauważyłem. To samo w sumie działo się na oryginalnym sofcie tp link'a. Pod Win XP oczywiście działa bez większych problemów.

Masz jakiś pomysł co można jeszcze zrobić? Czy może odpuścić i uznać ze ten modem jest niekompatybilny z openwrt?

Tak nokia jest jakaś dziwna smile, pożyczyłem dziś ją od @jakubd.

Da się przełączyć - albo przez usb-modeswich, albo przez eject. Tworzą się interfejsy /dev/ttyACM0 do ttyACM2, da się nawiązać połączenie na ttyACM0, ale... połączenie umiera po kilku sekundach, następuje odłączenie usb i pojawia się ponownie już jeden interfejs ACM0. Problem w tym że reaguje na polecenia AT, ale tylko kilka podstawowych i niestety nie jest to CONNECT...

Widzę, że zaczyna się jazda na nowym wynalazku Nokii smile Mam nadzieję, że to jednak nie jest aż taki kosmos, na jaki wygląda na pierwszy rzut oka.
Sprawdź koniecznie ile są warte sterowniki linuksowe/Ubuntu dołączone w modemie - co to za wynalazek, że Ubuntu nie potrafi samodzielnie się z tym łączyć, tylko wymaga tej wesołej aplikacji Nokia Internet Modem.

Nie ma potrzeby - na zwykłym debianie/ubuntu/mint, w wersji 32 i 64bit działa od ręki - pojawia się nośnik, nie trzeba nic instalować, za to trzeba go wysunąć. Pojawiają się ttyACM0 do ACM2, network manager sam to wykrywa, klika klików i działa połączenie na aero2. I co ciekawsze trzyma bez problemu, więc to nokiowe do niczego nie jest potrzebne.

PS. Myślałem że czerwone led jest ostre. Ale niebieskie to już przesada.

Szalony coś jest ten modem.

Do przełączenia wystarczy
opkg install sdparm kmod-scsi-generic
sdparm --command=eject /dev/sg0

Pojawia się wtedy jako 0421:0638 więc wszystko gra. Na WNDR3700 nie powoduje rozłączenia magistrali, więc całkiem możliwe że to sprawa zasilania usb.

Ale i tak się nie łączy. Umiera na negocjacji dnsów. Wyłączyłem to. Umiarł na negocjacji adresu IP:

Czyli jednak da się to coś uruchomić - pozostaje kwestia testów i sprawdzenie, czy zasilania w takim MR3x20 staje na potrzeby tego modemu HSPA+.

Tak. Sprawdzałem na rw2458 (usb 1.1, backfire), wndr3700 (usb 2.0, gagroyle), mr3020 (usb 2.0, trunk), teraz leci na mr3420 (gargoyle), wpięty bezpośrednio w usb/ Sygnał mam ok 60%, po zakryciu ręką spada tak na 30-35%. W tle pobiera cały czas pliki z noc.gts. O rana ten modem działa, nie powoduje żadnych zwieszek czy rozłączenia sygnału.

Tak jak Wojtek pisał na forum openwrt.org - trzeba usunąć opcje  noaccomp/nopcomp, tyle że openwrt trzeba to zrobić w dwóch plikach. Potem zostaje tylko przełączenie modemu  i normalnie działa, na standardowych ustawieniach jakie się wpisuje w openwrt czy gargoyle.

Nie chce pierwszego posta zaczynać od zwracania uwagi bo sam się uczę cały czas. Ale Chciałem koniecznie uruchomić właśnie modem Nokia 21m-02 ale na Asus Premium 500gP. Do tego celu ściągnąłem openwrt-brcm47xx-squashfs.trx z dnia 2012-01-14 .

Podałeś dwa sposoby na przełączenie.
Pierwszy za pomocą sdparm (warto dodać w opisie by nowi zrobili zanim będą mogli pociągnąć pakiety, zrobili # opkg update ).
W każdym bądź razie ten sposób po zaciągnięciu paczek działa jak należy. Oczywiście minusem jest to ze za każdym razem jak zrestartujemy nasz router przez konsole trzeba wydać komendę w celu przełączenia modemu.

Drugi sposób to  usb-modeswitch, czyli pięknie wszystko z automatu.
W tym celu między innymi mamy zrobić coś takiego: należy utworzyć plik /etc/usb_modeswitch/0421:0637

w moje wersji nie ma katalogu usb_modemswitch jest za to usb_modeswitch.d gdzie oczywiście są pliki konfiguracyjne.
Nie wiem czy to wersja brcm47xx ma inaczej bo nie mam nic na  ar71xx by sprawdzić.

następnie mamy stworzyć plik o nazwie 0421:0637

i tutaj jest jak by według  mnie błąd w opisie. W instrukcji jest,że:

a właściwy Target Product to 0x0637

Ja bardzo przepraszam, nie chce nikogo pouczać. Tylko sam siedziałem cała noc i kombinowałem. I dopiero troszkę redbulla i chłopski rozum z komendą # cat /proc/bus/usb/devices dało jasność.

Oczywiście że  usb_modeswitch.d, zjadłem litery. Co do drugiego - 0x0638 to własnie docelowy identyfikator na który ma się przełączyć (a taki dostaje po przełączeniu).

I to jest właśnie dziwne. U mnie po przełączeniu też identyfikuje się jako 0638 ale w pliku muszę mieć TargetProduct= 0x0637 bo inaczej nic się nie dzieje.
