Temat: Acer Aspire i ten sam (?) czytnik kart

Hej,
mam laptopka Acer Aspire 3692 z czytnikiem kart. Na naszym wiki małe co nie co o nim.
Jak widać większość rzeczy udało sie ujarzmić :-) Czytnika nadal nie...

Tak, ten sam czytnik SD.
Po załadowaniu modułu sdhci w logach powinno być info o znalezieniu kontrolera. Po włożeniu karty info o jej wykryciu (i, tak jak u mnie, cała masa inf o timeoutach, ale karta na końcu sie montuje). Pokaż  dmesg | grep sdhci ew, dmesg | grep mmc

W /var/log/messages po włożeniu karty totalnie nic nie wyskakuje. Żeby nie było karta jest sprawna :-) Pod WinXP wykrywana jest automatycznie po włożeniu.

Ciekawe bardzo smile. Zrób z palca rmmod mmc_block  i załaduj go jeszcze raz. Zobacz czy wykrywa kartę.
Możesz tez skompilować z debug z jądrze dla mmc/sdhci, powinien być bardziej rozmowny.  A no i jeszcze jedno - które jądro? Winno być jedno z ostatnich, po poprzednie były takie sobie...

No ja wszystkie te moduły wywaliłam przez rmmod i załadowałam na nowo. Kernel 2.6.18. na Slackware 11.0. Kompilacja kernela mówisz, hm na pewno coś popsuję :-)

Jak masz aktualnie źrodła kernela i .config od niego to wystarczy włączyć debug w sekcji mmc/sdhci, skompilować same moduły i podmienić tylk mmc, mmc_block i sdhci. depmod -a, wyładować je z pamieci, załadować ponowie.

Dziwne że nic nie wypisuje, bo samo sdhci powinno być gadatliwe. Przy niektórych chipach (TI)  trzeba robić wpisy w pci żeby czytnik zadziałał, ale ene działa od razu (kiepsko bo kiepsko ale działa).

A propo - używasz udev'a? Ja nie to zrób ręcznie odpowiednie wpisu w /dev/....

Wiesz co, ja nigdy nie kompilowałam kernela. Źródła mam, bo używam tylko paczek Patrica a one są porządnie zrobione :-) Kiedyś jak próbowałam coś tam wkompilować w kernel, to potem musiałam ratować system z LiveCD (zdecydowanie lepiej idzie mi kompilacja wszystkiego innego). Czy będzie to dużym nadużyciem jeśli poproszę Cię byś mi napisał co po kolei mam zrobić i co zarchiwizować by w razie problemów można było odtworzyć to co jest obecnie?

Masz mieć rozpakowane źródła swojego kernela (czyli najlepiej weź źródła ze slacka, dokłdanie tą wersje co masz). Potrzebujesz jeszcze make, gcc (w tej samej wersji co było jądro kompilwane, uname -a się dowiesz jaka była), libc6-dev, libncurses5-dev.

Mając rozpakowane źródła potrzebujesz aktualny konfig swojego jadra (plik .config). Powinien być gdzieś w paczce lub w /boot. Ew. jak jest wkompilowane w jadro to zcat /proc/config.gz > /usr/src/linux-2.6.18/.config.

Wchodzisz do katalogu gdzie masz źrodła, robisz make menuconfig. W gałęzi device drives->mmc/sd masz mmc debug. zaznacz to (przez Y). Exit, exit, exit. Budujesz moduły (make modules). Po krótszej dłuższej chwili (polecam piwo na uspokojenie) jeżeli nic się nie wykrzaczy to w  katalogu drives/mmc znajdziesz 3 pliki *.ko

to co jest w /lib/modules/2.6.18*/kernel/drivers/mmc przenieś gdzieś na bok jako kopia. Do tego katalogu skopiuj te 3 nowe pliki z drives/mmc. Zrób depmod -a. Usuń przez rmmod sdhci, mmc_block, mmc. Załaduj je ponownie (załadują sie nowe). No i włóż karŧę i zobacz co w logach.

Aby było po staremu po prostu przywróc te 3 pliki i zrób depmod -a. To wszystko.

Niestety sytuacja jest identyczna. Czyli wszystko się ładuje, jest ładnie napisane, że się załadowało w dmesg, ale karty nie mogę podmontować, a po włożeniu nie mam żadnych komunikatów. Może ta karta nie jest po prostu obsługiwana? Niestety nie mam innej kart SD by przetestować czytnik pod Linuksem.

Skoro pod windowsem działa, to oznacza że czytnik ją obsługuje. Jak nie masz żadnych komunikatów po włożeniu karty to obawiam się, że u Ciebie musi być zrobione coś jeszcze żeby czytnik działał. Możesz iść na listę SDHCI i coś poszperać, ale nie wróżę za wiele. Sorry.
